In this video we create and publish a website with one page that simply says 'Hello world'.
- Under the 'Websites' tab click 'Create a new website'
- Give it a name (anything will do), select 'Blank website' then click 'Create website'.
- Your new website now appears in your list under 'Websites'.
- Click 'Edit website' to load the website into iCode CMS.
- Click 'Add a page' in the left panel and select the default page template.
- Set the menu text. This is the text that will appear in your website's menu.
- Click 'Edit page template' and delete everything within the BODY tag.
- Type something simple within the BODY tag then 'Save'.
- You can continue to edit your website but you cannot publish yet because the web server has not been set up.
- Go back to the 'Websites' tab and click 'Settings' for your new website.
- Note the IP address (yours may be different to the one in the video). Before you can view your live website you need to set the A record of your domain to this IP address.
- Click 'Edit website' then 'Publish'.
- You can now view your live website by browsing to your domain or clicking the link at top right.
- Bear in mind that it can take up to a day or so for the DNS to catch up with the new IP address, so if you cannot see your new website straight away, don't panic.
